Diaz needs to learn how to finish fights.
Or shut the hell up.

bones jones will be the champ for a VERY long time

Canada2007
Carlos Condit is a liar , he tell the media and us the fans that this fight will be a dog fight and was a running fight, scare of Diaz he say he pick Diaz a part bull shit ( pick a part is Jose Aldo vs Faber Verdum vs big Country , Nate dias vs Cerroni .evrybody new Diaz will come to fight but no body thought Condit will be running that much.
3 logical posts in a row? holy shit!

3-2 to Diaz all day.If i was being really generous i cold share the 2nd and give them a draw. But the only definites were 1 and 5 to Diaz and 3 to Condit.Im not one bit interested in cc/gsp ill skip that fight completely.Thank God for Sonne/Silva

scott you usually are spot on... but come on
Condit won. Diaz stalked while Condit was sticking and moving.
As for GSP, Diaz would have blanketed him. Condit can scramble off of his back while being very diverse in his striking to give him problems, plus he has jj.

I 100% agree Scott
that is exactly how I saw it.

is it funny that if this was the gsp/condit fight and it ended the same way?
No one would be bitching.
I guess most Diaz fans don’t wear bagging jeans they like to wear wrangler jeans, cause they are some nuthuggers

lmao not new. plenty of arguments under my belt against nut riders
Anyone else think it was funny that Nick pulled out all of his tricks with talking shit and taunting, holding onto Condits leg way past the bell, and doing the Stockton slap? N yet Condit is mentally strong enough in the middle of a fight not to let his hanger get the better of him? Condit is mentally strong. N will always have a 50/50 chance of beating anyone.

Diaz is all balls.
But these guys eventually end up fighting other fighters with not only balls but with brains as well. That’s what happened tonight. A ‘tough guy’ attitude is not enough to make you a champion in the UFC.

exactly
That’s Condit is both tough and mentally strong. That’s why he is where he is today.

Werdum is the ultimate troll.
He trolled everyone in that presser haha.

From one fighter to another..Diaz won.
These fighters agree with me too:

are even less biased as fans, as they train with the people. See Rousey as a prime example.

Erm, seems there were plenty of fighters who called it both ways?
“Ring generalship” isn’t just about who walks forwards most – that isn’t a condition of fighting. Condit landed better and avoided damage = win. I can remember maybe two flurries from Diaz that were worthwhile and plenty from Condit.
I like both fighters and thought this would be a tougher fight than it was being made out, I think Condit won as Diaz, for all his talking during the fight simply wasn’t landing as much. Condit was running but it was running, striking and countering which is simply smart fighting.
Those butt-hurt over the decision need to get over it, it was close and could have gone either way with MMA judges but I didn’t see Diaz do enough personally.
Worse was the Koscheck decision since he should have been deducted a point for the eye-poke.
"Matt Serra has unwittingly changed the face of MMA forever, with his KO of GSP he heralded the "Safe Win" era and all are starting to jump on that bandwagon. Good for them, bad for the majority of us brain-dead fans who don’t appreciate the intricacies of man laying on man action." - Jimrod 3/27/11 (Post Johnson/Hardy "Fight").
Cesar Gracie
just tweeted Anderson Silva and Chuck Liddell both sat ringside for the event and scored the win for Diaz. And said if 2 champions scored it for Diaz then it’s right since champions would know…
But plenty of fighters called it the other way too.
Fighters aren’t necessarily the smartest guys anyway, and of course there will be other bias in there as they’ve all trained/fought against each other or each other’s camps at one point or another.
I used to be a fighter as well, mainly Kickboxing, Karate and Tae Kwon Do – and as someone with primarily striking experience I thought Condit won. Some wrestlers may love the fact Diaz got one takedown – that’s usually enough to sway MMA judges from what I’ve seen…

I think it is interesting
That Liddell and Anderson did call it for Diaz however I think if they said they thought Condit won Cesar wouldnt even mention it, LMAO….

What's up with dana recently ?
Anyone else noticed how pissedoff Dana seems at the post fight press conferences recently. He gives really short or one word answers and just doesnt seem to want to be there.
Not just press conferences.
With everything.
I’m calling hemorrhoids.

Cesar said one thing that should be taken seriously
Mainly, that fighters should get points deducted for running rather than engaging. Boxing doesn’t teach you to run. It teaches you to duck, weave and slip punches.
Condit isn’t championship material. Obviously, the UFC has what they want-their new poster boy, but a true fighter he’s not.
