And, of course, main event participants Thiago Alves vs. Martin Kampmann met up for a staredown to try to psyche each other out. Both men are cool customers, though, and look ready to rock and roll.
Also squaring off were all four fighters participating in the first (and likely only) UFC flyweight tournament to crown a champion in the freshly minted 125-pound weight class. That includes Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall and Joseph Benavidez vs. Yasuhiro Urushitani.
