He's baaaaack ... in the gym, anyway.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, who underwent surgery just before Christmas 2011 to repair a broken arm (see the scar here), has already resumed light mixed martial arts (MMA) training.

Nogueira has his limb shattered at UFC 140: "Jones vs. Machida" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on Dec. 10, 2012, refusing to tap to a Frank Mir submission attempt.

So, it just went "SNAP." Check this picture out if you don't remember or just want to get the willies again. And if you feel the need to take it one step further be sure to check out the video highlights right here.

Amazingly, "Big Nog" has already laced up the gloves and is involved in light sparring, little more than one month removed from sliding off the operating table. At 35 years old, the mixed martial arts (MMA) legend is clearly battling Father Time, as well as a rash of serious injuries, which is perhaps the reason he's seemingly pushing the pace of his recovery.

There is no timetable for his return to the Octagon at this time; however, it appears that it might be sooner than we all anticipated.
