Gilbert Melendez says that he will probably fight a UFC fighter before coming over to the UFC

Strikeforce lightweight champion took a moment out of his busy schedule to talk to Kimura.se reporter Millad Salehivand about potential match ups, and whether or not there is any truth to the rumors that he will be heading to the UFC.
Melendez tells us that he does´t have any match ups yet, but he´ll be probably fight a UFC fighter under the Strikeforce organization before coming to the UFC.
Nick Diaz was also discussed and the emotions that might be consuming him as of late.

Once Bendo has the belt, Edgar should go to SF for a superfight against Gil.
Although I don’t want Frankie to lose 2 in a row, so maybe just send the Diaz-Miller winner.

That also wouldn’t work because no way Edgar gets demoted nor does Diaz fight Gilbert.

Edgar wont drop down if he loses.
He wants that LW belt too much. He’ll make another run for the belt.
Frankie loves not having to cut weight. It works really well for him that he doesn’t have to go through the gruelling process of a weight cut. More fighters should try it.

I love watching both these guys fight and the betting line is just about 50/50…but i’m leaning towards the stronger Bendo. But man, I dont know. Neither one of these guys have quit in them.

Frankie as a guy is great. I just don't like his style and enjoy watching other fighters more. Bendo is exciting as they come, looking forward to his win.
