Nick Diaz vs Carlos Condit staredown pic from UFC 143 press conference
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 143 pre-fight press conference is in the books for the "Diaz vs. Condit" pay-per-view (PPV) event scheduled for the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sat., Feb. 4, 2012.
With a name like that, it should come as no surprise that former Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz is taking on ex WEC 170-pound titleholder Carlos Condit in the night's main event. As with every press conference, they face off at the end and try to psyche each other out.
Not sure anyone can out-mug Diaz, but "The Natural Born Killer" sure gives it his best shot.
Also squaring off were main card fighters Josh Koscheck and Mike Pierce as well as Roy Nelson and Fabricio Werdum. Their staredown pics can be found after the jump.
Have a look.

Is he planning to shave before the fight? That forest on his chin could be a safety hazard. Not only could it harbor lice, cockroaches and scorpions which might hurt his opponent, it might get caught in somebody’s jockstrap during a sweaty grapple.
vaseline tucked in the beard..
Might help a man get out of a RNC or guillotine….been wondering how thorough a check they do for it…haven’t seen anyone blink at Hendrick twice.

ok Jesse, heres my breakdown on these awkward looking pics..
Condit & Diaz both look a little detached from the scene. The full 3 piece suit on Condit just makes it look even wierder. Kos looks more intense than Pierce…or Pierce finally realize he actually has to fight him… and Big Country looks even more homeless….and Werdum? Fuck Werdum!

I know a lot of people may not like kos and what not but the dude is a good fighter. Dis anyone notice.he Fucked up thinking his one.punch could beat gsp but when it came to the grappling for that brief moment gsp could get him down. Kos is a good fighter and a tough test to see if you are ready for being a contender. I see him beating pierce

Diaz staredowns remind me of the old style boxing stance.

If I’m a betting man I drop 100 g stacks on Condit right away. Diaz looks to be lacking in confidence and doesn’t seem all that interested nor motivated, he also said he could possibly retire if he was to beat GSP. Seems to me like he’s just realized Condit is the real deal.
I thought the size difference would favor Nick, it doesn’t. Condit is bigger and stronger, and has the cardio unlike BJ. If I’m a betting man, I back Condit via KO. That’s just because Nick gets hit, and unlike his previous opponents, Condit has the cardio and killer instinct to put him away. I originally picked Diaz and don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge fan, but the more I think about this fight the more I see Condit winning. Add the fact that everyone is looking past Condit, you have a solid dog. Drop the house on Condit, I’ll be driving down town tomorrow in my merc to drop some doe on this guy, don’t say I didn’t try help you kids. Just based on this conference alone, there’s money to be made on Condit and Diaz is scared.

You're stressing me out Dan
I’m not a Diaz fan but it seems like every time I think he’s going to lose to a striker, he mauls him. I picked Daley and Penn to outstrike him and shut him up. But here we are. I think if Diaz withstands the initial Condit onslaught, then he takes him. But your argument is sound and the pool hangs in the balance.
I’m torn.
