Poll: UFC names the 12 hottest fights of 2012
That's hot.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is patting itself on the back for doing such a great job of matchmaking to kick of its 2012 fight campaign, listing the 12 hottest upcoming fights on its official website.
Oddly enough, Miesha Tate vs. Ronda Rousey, scheduled for the Showtime network on March 3 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, is not on this list, despite its level of hotness. Maybe because it falls under the Strikeforce banner?
So, with those two lovely ladies eliminated, who makes the grade?
1. 155 lbs.: Frankie Edgar vs. Ben Henderson at UFC 144. The dawn of the "Bendo" era? Or another example of "The Answer's" dominance?
2. 155 lbs.: Anthony Pettis vs. Joe Lauzon at UFC 144. One of these two men could emerge as the number two contender behind the winner of "Miller vs. Diaz."
3. 205 lbs.: Jon Jones vs. Rashad Evans at UFC 145. "Bones" is one fight away from cleaning out the division.
4. 155 lbs.: Jim Miller vs. Nate Diaz at UFC on Fox 3. Win here, fight for the lightweight title.
5. 145 lbs.: Dustin Poirier vs. Chan Sung Jung at UFC on Fuel TV 3. Who is the contender and who is the pretender?
6. 185 lbs.: Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen II in June. Can Sonnen finish what he started at UFC 117?
7. 185 lbs.: Vitor Belfort vs. Wanderlei Silva II at TBA. All due respect to Wandy but this could play out like a snuff film.
8. 135 lbs.: Dominick Cruz vs. Urijah Faber III at UFC 148. Rubber match! Let's hope it's not a close decision.
9. 125 lbs.: Flyweight Final at TBA. The first ever 125-pound champion!
10. 265 lbs.: Cain Velasquez vs. Frank Mir at TBA. Someone gets back into the title hunt and someone goes to the back of the line.
11. 265 lbs.: Junior dos Santos vs. Alistair Overeem at UFC 146. Don't blink, someone's going to sleep.
12. 170 lbs.: Georges St. Pierre vs. Carlos Condit at TBA. I'll believe it when I see it.
Some hot fights here, Maniacs, but which is the hottest? Vote in our poll (after the jump) and let us know your choice for the hottest fight of 2012!
Alright Maniacs, let's hear it!

Even tho I initially acted like a small child, I have been forced to come to my senses. enzo-enormous is better at calling fights than I am, by far. I am a little immature but am working on it. Also, I love dudes and cant wait to get a reach around from the 209

To give you an idea of what I think the ideal size is, google Jelena Jensen
And if you already know her off the top of your head, congratulate your penis on a job well done

Really?
Jelena’s way better than Denise. Milani basically has giant balloons on her chest. It becomes logistically difficult when they’re that big.

Never too big.

Yeah, they can be
At a certain point it gets stupid. Denise Milani is just past that line.

I've had double G's
No that’s not bs. And they were awesome and firm because I’m 27 and she’s 20 and they’re real :)

And at 23 they get in the way when she ties her shoes.

Fiore and Milani are over the top
I like a maximum size of 38DD. Beyond that it’s basically a gigantic ass on a bitch’s chest

Fighters fight. Snitches Snitch.

Sarah,
you know we all love you, but just like Nick Diaz, the rules apply to you as well. Here is your sig.
"I need to start letting my husband make my picks for me"
Some really good match-ups this year!
I just can’t decide…Rashad-Bones and Chael-Anderson will be hyped because of the beef, and they’ll probably sell the most.
JDS-Overeem will be HUGE.
And Frankie-Henderson will definately be a burn-burner. Both guys have a phenomenal pace and cant be finished.
"You never know. I don't know. You know?" -Nick Diaz
out of all those you named, i think frankie-henderson will be the best fight by far
overeem/jds is gonna end violently inside of a round
rashad/bones will end within two rounds same with chael/anderson
but i can see frankie-henderson being a FUCKING WAR!

which church will you attend? which God will you thank?
make sure you get it right. you wouldn’t want to be thanking the wrong God.

JDS v Overeem tops that list for me
5-3, undefeated and undisputed, beat me ... if you can.
I clearly didnt learn my lesson the first time, The Pride has smashed me AGAIN. My excess estrogen has destroyed my life, I make Chaz Bono look like a real man"
Some other of Hottest Fights of 2012
Alves vs. Kampmann
Bocek vs. Wiman
Miguel Torres vs. Michael McDonadl
Makdessi vs. Njukuani
Alan Belcher vs. Palhares
Koscheck vs. Hendricks
Lil Nog vs. Gustafsson
"You never know. I don't know. You know?" -Nick Diaz
Alves kampmann
will probably end up being a great fight. Afterwards Dana will be hearing it again about it not being a 5 rounder
jose aldo vs barao would be a good fight too..
by kenshing on Feb 17, 2012 8:50 PM EST via mobile reply actions
Or
Aldo VS Edgar. That would be perfect, because Renan is going to eventually destroy Dominick and he also trains at the same camp along with the same coach as Aldo.
that's how I want to see it
Barao v Cruz, Aldo v Edgar.
5-3, undefeated and undisputed, beat me ... if you can.
I clearly didnt learn my lesson the first time, The Pride has smashed me AGAIN. My excess estrogen has destroyed my life, I make Chaz Bono look like a real man"
CORRECTION - Junior Dos Santos Vs Alistair Overeem
Don’t blink, Overeem is goin to sleep.

I would have said anderson silva vs chael sonnen until that lackluster performance he gave to bisbing
my vote now went to overeem and jds
Rampage vs Thiago Silva
not yet announced, but I’m hoping.
also hoping this year to see:
Anderson vs Shogun
Bones vs Cain
Condit vs Ellenberger
Reem vs Carwin
Rampage vs Shogun II
Rashad vs Hendo
"Who's da MASTA?!!!"
Rich vs Tito, Rampage, & Lil Nog
and if he wins at least 2 of those I’d like to see him fight Shogun or rematch Machida.
"Who's da MASTA?!!!"
