The UFC on FUEL TV 1: "Sanchez vs. Ellenberger" weigh-in event took place today (Tues., Feb. 14, 2012) in Omaha and that means staredowns with all the major players.
That includes the two headliners for tomorrow night's event at the Omaha Civic Auditorium, Diego Sanchez vs. Jake Ellenberger. For those hoping for some fireworks, sorry, nothing to see here. Sanchez kept it professional, as did the always calm and collected "Juggernaut."
Heavyweights Stefan Struve and Dave Herman will hook 'em up in the co-main event of the evening while middleweights Aaron Simpson and Ronny Markes will also collide. See them all stare at each other after the jump.

That is why there needs to be a middle heavy division at 230 or 235
There are a lot of big guys out there and the heavyweight division is going to continue to grow. All of the other weight divisions are 10 or 15 lbs apart but heavyweight is 60, that crazy.

Literally decapitate Overeem. Just a few years ago Overeem got demolished by 205’ers that aren’t even close to having the striking or power of JDS. Can’t wait for JDS/Cain 2 woooooo!

Cain is 250 not 240…Interim Shane Carwin 254 (walks around over 265)…before that inteim Frank Mir 260 (walks around over 265)…before that Brock Lesnar 265 (walks around at 300+) …before Big Nog 239…then Randy back in the days the HW divison sucked bad…before his Tim Sylvia 265 walk around at 300+……JDS, besides Randy (who beat up on the old bums), JDS is the smallest HW champ ever.

Just saying, Brock was a rare case…he had great physical tools but mediocre skill and technique…Mir tried to bulk up because he thought that’s what he needed but quickly came to his sense and decided to take the weight back off…and even Carwin realized he couldn’t be carrying all that weight as it cost him against Brock…JDS and Cain aren’t big HWs but they will be at the top for years to come
