Special Beermania pregame edition: UFC on Fuel TV 'Ellenberger vs Sanchez'

What's up Maniacs?
Here is a special edition of Beermania for the UFC on Fuel TV: "Ellenberger vs. Sanchez" mixed martial arts event, which takes place this upcoming Wednesday (Feb. 15, 2012) from the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Omaha, Nebraska.
Normally I would use two beers from the respective states of the two main event contestants; however, there are not too many beers from Nebraska (Jake Ellenberger) or New Mexico (Diego Sanchez) that make it to the rest of the country.
Nonetheless, If your looking for something from those areas, I suggest Nebraska Brewing Hop God, or Chama River Brewing Jackalope IPA. Meanwhile, for this edition of Beermania, I'm keeping it gangster and going with an East Coast vs. West Coast theme.

Hailing from Pennsylvania and representing the East Coast we have Victory Brewing Hop Devil IPA:

From the Brewery: Yellow Snow IPA was originally introduced for the 2000 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah.Yellow Snow is Rogue's tribute to winter sports everywhere-downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross country, ice hockey, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and even curling. It will be available Nov. 1 in select states where mountains and snow can be found.
Tasting Notes:
Pale golden in color with a hoppy fruity aroma. Big hop flavor up front complemented by medium body and hoppyness mid-pallet. Finishes with a characteristic lingering bitterness.

I like the Yellow Snow, the Chocolate stout and Chipotle Ale( I mix them together), the Dead Guy and Double Dead Guy are good, on the other hand I hated the Morimoto Hazelnut and the juniper pale ale.

Arcadia, Bell’s, Dark Horse, Founder’s(probably my favorite), Jolly Pumpkin, Kuhnhenn, New Holland, Shorts, and those are just the one’s I have had and liked, there are close to 100 breweries in Michigan

hop devil on cask is mighty fine
i’m only an hour away from the brewery and they always have 4 cask selections. Best beer I ever had was a similar style(american strong ale) Firestone Walker 10, it was incredible. I couldn’t get it on the East coast, so I ended up trading with people in California over 6 times, just to accumulate a case worth of it.

normally guys don’t train in the same location they were born, except for these Albuquerque guys, and there are only two beers from there I can easily obtain, I did the one last time for Condit, and am saving the other for Henderson at 144. After that, I may need to start outsourcing.

Last night was interesting
It started off with a few of my friends picking me up and going to Fort Mott(ur from my area ever heard of it?) its basically a big ass offroad place were they cud smoke(i dont) and drive a jeep around. Well that night included a stoned driver almost falling of the road and us getting stuck in mud for over an hour.
