"I started a campaign on Twitter and Facebook. I always ran after my dreams. I always went after everything I wanted. I always set my goals in my mind, and went to achieve them. I set the goal to fight again in the UFC. Because my motivation is to fight the best fighters. And I succeeded through my efforts, my training. My friends and my team helping me. Werdum Combat Team, Kings MMA. Everybody helped me a lot. Seven thousand people tweeted Dana White asking him to bring me back to the UFC. The fans want to see me back in there."
This whole social media thing is getting ridiculous, right? Not only can fighters campaign for bouts they want to get made and actually get their wish, now they're doing the same just to get back inside the Octagon. And if Fabricio Werdum is to be believed, that's what we can thank for his return bout against Roy Nelson this coming Sat., Feb. 4, 2012, at UFC 143 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The lesson here? Go tweet Dana White, Maniacs. You might end up inside the Octagon one day.

Werdum doesnt have good takedowns
But they arent terrible for the average bjj player in the UFC. He did get Overeem down once and I still believe he gets on top of anyone for a substantial period they are dead.

He has done so much in the sport but people disrespect or discredit him because he lost to Junior.
