Manny Pacquiao may have won two of the first three -- the other being a draw -- but Juan Manuel Marquez brought an emphatic end to their rivalry with a one punch knockout.
Juan Manuel Marquez has done it. He has knocked Manny Pacquiao out cold in the sixth round of their 147-pound fight last night (Sat., Dec. 8, 2012) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Right from the get go, the two resumed their epic battle like they had never missed a beat. Marquez struck first with a knockdown in round three. Pacquiao responded in the fifth by scoring a knockdown of his own. Immediately after, the two went to war, exchanging a flurry of punches that both somehow survived to continue on.
That was until the sixth round when Marquez landed an absolute right hand bomb that put Pacquiao face first on the mat, completely out cold. The devastating straight shot down the pipe left "Pacman" lying on the mat unconscious, his wife rushing the ring in tears to tend to her fallen husband.
That's it, folks. Marquez has knocked out Pacquiao.
