Mike Ricci and Colton Smith are the lucky two to make it to the finals in the 16th season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). The two will meet at the live Finale on Sat., Dec. 15, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Momma, I made it!"
That's what both Mike Ricci and Colton Smith can say tonight (Dec. 7, 2012) after the 12th and final episode of season 16 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) on FX. That's because they both won their semifinal bouts to advance to the live Finale set for next Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Smith got there by grinding Jon Manley down for three full rounds while Ricci scored what was likely the "Knockout of the Season" with a single elbow strike to Neil Magny's dome that put him to sleep instantly.
Lights out, good night, Irene.
That was likely enough to make Ricci the favorite for the season Finale. After all, he won by submission, knockout, and decision during his trip to the finals.
