After over two years away from the sport, The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season one veteran Mike Swick is suddenly very active again.
"Quick" Swick will be battling Matt Brown this Saturday night (Dec. 8, 2012) in the opening bout of the UFC on Fox 5 main card in Seattle, Washington. What makes this fight even more impressive is the fact that the American Kickboxing Academy welterweight will be competing less than four months since his last Octagon appearance.
To help get you amped for his fight, Swick released an in-depth video blog of the days leading up to his Octagon return. In the video above, he makes his last official training session at AKA before heading out to Seattle, working with stand-out fighters like Jon Fitch, Josh Thomson, Daniel Cormier and more.
In his August fight, Swick survived a few rough patches against DaMarques Johnson before finishing "Darkness" via violent knockout due to ground and pound in the first round.
Do you think he can repeat history on Saturday night? Or will Matt Brown be too much, too soon for the former top contender as he works his way back into the fold?
