UFC on FOX 5 goes down this Saturday night (Dec. 8, 2012) from the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington, featuring a 155-pound title fight pitting Ben Henderson (champion) vs. Nate Diaz (challenger). And who better to predict the winner than their past opponents?
Former division number one contender Gray Maynard (split decision win over Diaz) via MMA Interviews:
"Ben Henderson, he gets away with a lot of stuff because he's a lefty. So a lot of people don't know how to deal with that. Nate, he knows that, because of course, Nick and him spar all the time, I bet. Ben Henderson better take him down I guess. I think Nate will win, he's doing good... if that happens I would like to fight Nate."
Former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) lightweight number one contender Donald Cerrone (defeated by both Diaz and Henderson):
"If Nate's been fighting the way he's been fighting I think he's got a hell of a shot. As far as submitting Ben, it's gonna be hell. I'm pretty good at submissions and it's tough to submit that dude."
Former division champion Frankie Edgar (two losses to Henderson) via MMA Interviews:
"I think Nate's gonna be a problem for him. I really do, I'm a big fan of Nate. I think Ben's obviously a great fighter. I think it's gonna be a high paced fight. Nate's length, his boxing. It's pretty tough. I think Nate should fight like he always fights. Just go forward, throw a lot of punches. For Ben, I don't know. He's gotta get some takedowns, if he can, but he's gotta be weary for submissions."
