Check out the week that was at MMAmania.com! We've got interviews, comments, fanposts, videos and gifs!
Welcome, Maniacs, to the twenty-fifth edition of "This Week in MMAmania.com." MMAmania is a gigantic and glorious place and we pump out a ridiculous amount of content. If you don't refresh this site every 60 minutes, you might just miss something amazing.
Have no fears, that's what this weekly article is all about! We'll recap the best of all things MMAmania, whether it be a great comment, a Fan Post, an article, video or something else.
- Comment of the Week: Poor Clay Guida has put on some of the most entertaining fights in history, but one fight against Gray Maynard where he backed up for nearly 25 minutes just murdered his reputation. Elitex10x explained the upcoming Guida-Hioki fight in rather hilarious fashion.
Hioki beats him everywhere
Except maybe a 400m

- Article of the week: Props to Patrick L Stumberg's betting guide for UFC 155 getting some serious attention. Well deserved, IMO.
- Statistic of the week: Chael Sonnen just bringing up Manny Pacquiao's name, while also alluding to some vague accusations towards Marquez was more than enough to get some serious hits. Surprise, surprise, they were almost all from websites in the Philippines. Those guys eat it up.
- Fanpost of the Week: Steve Borchardt's extensive 2012 MMA timeline from January to April deserves a serious nod for all the effort.
- Honorable mention fanpost of the week: It's not a fanpost of the week without something from unambig. Here's his UFC 155 preview, go read it if you haven't already. .
- Honorable mention comment of the week: Poor sarah- just wanted to recommend a series of entertaining books, but then Violent Mike had to go and taint Jack Reacher forever.
"Jack Reacher"?
That sounds like the the name of a movie villain that runs around secretly and unexpectedly jerking dudes off.
- ViolentMike
Actually, after reading that description, it doesn't sound surprising that Tom Cruise is playing him in the movie.
- Interview of the Week: If you missed our conversation with Hector Lombard concerning Rousimar Palhares' broken foot complaints, you need to check it out. .
But that's not all, don't forget our interview with UFC 155 lightweight Myles Jury, top British bantamweight Brad Pickett, Tim Boetsch talking his bout against Costa Philippou, Mike Bohn's three part interview with Eddie Wineland or James Goyder talking to Zaid Mirza..
- Video of the Week: My elbow hurt after watching this video, but only from overuse.
We don't just have great content on MMAmania, our writers also are very active on Twitter, most notably our beloved Geno Mrosko. If you know anything about Geno, he is quick to anger and is not afraid to call anyone out on their BS.
Here's our honorary #GenoTime Tweet of the Week: Geno wasn't a fan of the UFC 155 press conference.
Think I would rather watch a monkey jerk off at the zoo than the press conference we were just treated to. That was awful.
One play, timeout. Another play, timeout. WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE WHO THINK LOVIE SHOULD STAY? FUCK YOU PEOPLE. THIS COACHING IS AWFUL.
If you want to catch any good tweets from your Mania writers, here are our accounts: Thomas Myers, Geno Mrosko, Jesse Holland, Adam Guillen Jr., Mike Bohn, Andrew Richardson, George Halvatsis Jr. and Brian Hemminger.
- Obligatory TNA of the Week: I firmly believe there would be world peace if every country had mandatory Kate Upton catwalk-viewing sessions.
Lastly, there was a serious outcry for some Maniac debate. As the year comes to a close, let's get some input:
What was your most memorable MMA moment in 2012? It can be a knockout, submission, fight, story, anything.
That's it for this week. If you've got an extra suggestions for content, or nominations for articles, comments or discussion topics, please feel free to e-mail me at (and I made this e-mail especially for this): HemmingerMMA@gmail.com.
