Fight week, blog week!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White is back at it, delivering the first in what he promises (again) to be a series of video blogs to promote the upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event this Saturday night (Dec. 29, 2012) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
However, before White turns his attention to UFC 155, he takes us behind-the-scenes at UFC on Fox 5 at the KeyArena in Seattle, Wash., on Sat., Dec. 8, 2012, featuring the "grappling match" between his friend, "Nick the Tooth," and Lightweight contender Joe Lauzon.
Lauzon was in town to corner his training partner Joe Proctor, but he also used the time to settle an apparent beef, which White details in the video above, between "Nick" and the Lauzon camp. White apparently offered Lauzon $1,000 for every time he could submit his "crazy" and "hungover" friend and $2,500 for every time "Nick" could submit "J-Lau."
Let's just say it's probably the easiest money Lauzon has ever made -- he put on a clinic -- and some of the quickest money White has ever lost (I think).
"Nick" attempts to make a few excuses -- foul play, cramps, etc. -- before packing a wad of dip to try and make all his pain go away. Let's just say he most likely would have been better off waiting for the whiskey.
Enjoy.
