The Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale: "Nelson vs. Mitrione" blew the roof off the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night (Sat., Dec. 15, 2012) featuring a main event of Roy Nelson knocking out Matt Mitrione in the first round of their heavyweight battle.
There was also another Ultimate Fighter crowning, as Colton Smith slowly ground Mike Ricci into dust, smothering him for three rounds until UFC President Dana White was handing him a glass trophy and a six-figure contract.
And a Harley Davidson motorcycle that he may or may not be contractually obligated to avoid riding.
Rounding out the main card were match-ups that saw Dustin Poirier comeback to choke out Jonathan Brookins in a thrilling featherweight encounter while Pat Barry scored a crushing knockout victory over Shane Del Rosario after early trouble in their 265-pound showdown.
