Check out the beautiful knockout victory Roy Nelson scored over Matt Mitrione at last night's (Sat., Dec. 15, 2012) TUF 16 Finale at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Roy Nelson knocks out Matt Mitrione in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 Finale last night (Sat., Dec. 15, 2012) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Nelson, who was supposed to battle Shane Carwin at the conclusion of this latest season of TUF, spent much of his time as coach on the show as the chief antagonist. "Big Country" drew the ire of Carwin, UFC President Dana White, and even his own team. That didn't stop Colton Smith from winning the glass trophy and right after him, Nelson put down "Meathead" to improve to 18-7 in his career and give him his second victory in a row. Like him or not, he's a pretty damn good fighter until he battles the elite of the division. That's a hump he'll have to continue fighting to get over but with this victory, he at least proved he still belongs in the discussion.
