Dustin Poirier erased the memory of his ugly defeat to Chan Sung Jung earlier this year by choking out Jonathan Brookins in the main card kickoff to the TUF 16 Finale tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The featherweights kicked things off at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 16 Finale tonight (Sat., Dec. 15, 2012) at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, as former TUF winner Jonathan Brookins battled Dustin Poirier.
Both came in looking to rebound from spectacular losses and that was obvious from the start.
Brookins came in banging away with a series of ridiculously hard shots that had Poirier on his heels. "The Diamond" quickly returned fire, though, and before long they were simply up against the cage throwing hands and slugging it out.
Although it appeared Brookins had the edge early, Poirier came back strong with a shot that wobbled his foe before locking on a D'Arce choke that forced the fight ending tap.
"Fight of the Night" all over this one.
