Johny Hendricks vs. Jake Ellenberger booked for UFC 158 on March 16 in Montreal

Johny Hendricks will be joining Georges St. Pierre at UFC 158, but not as his opponent. Instead, he'll fight Jake Ellenberger on the main card, which takes place on March 16, 2013 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

No soup for you!

Despite his plea for a 170-pound title shot, Johny Hendricks will have yet another obstacle to overcome en route to the promised land, this time in the form of Jake Ellenberger at the UFC 158: "St. Pierre vs. Diaz" pay-per-view (PPV) event on March 16, 2013 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The UFC brass made the bout official earlier today.

Hendricks (14-1) has been virtually unstoppable at 170 pounds, stringing together five straight wins, including two over former division number one contenders. He was last seen putting Martin Kampmann to sleep at UFC 154: "St. Pierre vs. Condit" just last month.

Heavy leather.

Like his opponent, Ellenberger (28-6) likes to swing big, but needed three rounds to overcome the venerable Jay Hieron at UFC on FX 5 last October. His win over "The Thoroughbred" got him back into the win column after the aforementioned Kampann snapped a six-fight winning streak.

A victory over "Bigg Rigg" and he's right back in the mix.

UFC 158 will feature a welterweight title fight pitting reigning division champion Georges St. Pierre against former Strikeforce 170-pound titleholder Nick Diaz. Stay tuned to for more on this upcoming fight card as it becomes available.
