There was an awful lot of talk going into Manny Pacquiao vs. Juan Manuel Marquez 4 this past Dec. 8 in Las Vegas that one or maybe both fighters weren't as clean as they were claiming. For now, that talk can be laid to rest.
This is a nice way to wrap a bow tie around our coverage of Pacquiao vs. Marquez 4.
For years, Manny Pacquiao has faced questions on potential use of performance enhancing drugs. His eternal rival, Juan Manuel Marquez, largely avoided this until recently when he aligned himself with strength and conditioning coach Memo Hernandez and packed on the muscle for their fourth fight that went down this past Dec. 8, 2012, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Once Marquez knocked out Pacquiao in the sixth round, completely separating "Pacman" from his senses, the shock quickly gave way to more questions.
Where did that power suddenly come from?
Well, the good news is that according to BoxingScene.com, both fighters passed their post-fight drug tests. Does that mean they're both clean? Not necessarily, but at the very least it gives a measure of confidence to the fact that the classic battle we all witnessed in "Sin City" isn't tainted by steroids.
Thank the sun.
