We're just over one month away.
After announcing the official start date of the Bellator Fighting Championships/Spike TV venture as January 17, 2013 yesterday during a media conference call, it's no big shocker that the promotion released it's sizzling new promo to help get the word out about the new network debut.
On display are Bellator champions Pat Curran (featherweight) and Michael Chandler (lightweight) who are (surprise, surprise) expected to defend their titles on January 17th against Patricio Freire and Rick Hawn respectively.
Also showcased are promotional newcomers "King Mo" Muhammed Lawal and Renato "Babalu" Sobral, who are expected to compete in at the first two events of season eight.
Last but not least, the end of the promo features the new logo for the promotion, which they hope is a bit sleeker and simpler. What do you think?
Season eight of Bellator on Spike TV will feature five of "the toughest tournaments in sports" at 145, 155, 170, 185 and 205 pounds. More details on the participants are expected to be released very shortly.
Did the promo do it's job, Maniacs? Do you expect things to be bigger and better for Bellator on Spike TV?
