World Series of Fighting (WSOF) 1, which took place last Saturday night (Nov. 3, 2012) at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, tallied a live gate of $82,608.22, according to official figures from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) released earlier today.
The final attendance of 5,575 was the result of 1,499 tickets sold and 4,076 complimentary tickets.
Ray Sefo and Co. garnered an average audience of 198,000 viewers for the two-hour telecast on NBC Sports Network for an event featuring knockout victories for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) vets Andrei Arlovski and Anthony Johnson.
WSOF 2 is expected to return to Planet Hollywood in just over two months for its second offering, tentatively scheduled for Jan. 26, 2013, though the venue has yet to be made official at this time. Already booked for action is a 135-pound tilt pitting Marlon Moraes, fresh off his WSOF 1 victory over ex-WEC champ Miguel Torres, against top bantamweight prospect Tyson Nam.
