Cast your 2012 ballot and vote today (Nov. 6, 2012) for the candidate to lead us into the future of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight division! Four more years of Georges St. Pierre? Or will Carlos Condit be the voice of change?
It's election day here in the good ol' U.S. of A. and that means any citizen worth his (or her) salt is on their way to the polls to cast their ballot and vote for President of the United States. But voting for Barack Obama or Mitt Romney doesn't mean you've fulfilled your civic duty.
Not even close.
You're a mixed martial arts (MMA) fan and you're being held to a higher standard, so now it's time to focus on the poll that maters most: Who is going to be the chief of the 170-pound staff? Reigning champion Georges St. Pierre or Interim titleholder Carlos Condit?
We'll find out soon enough.
"Rush" will try to extend his term by four more years in the main event of UFC 154 a week from Saturday night (Nov. 17) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, live on pay-per-view (PPV), and while many pundits predict a landslide, some last-minute campaigning from "The Natural Born Killer" could swing a few key states.
Are you one of them?
Thanks to UFC for this special election day poster featuring the stars of UFC 154 (see the full version here). If you want to talk about the presidential election, MMAmania.com Secretary of Defense Ulf Murphy has a call to arms in his rock-the-vote FanPost right here.
Now, on to business.
