Tyson Griffin led the way in fighter payouts for the RFA 4 event that took place on Fri., Nov. 2, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, but no one went home with more than $20,000. It ain't easy getting green on the regional scene, y'all.
Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) may not have the name value of the more well known mixed martial arts (MMA) promotions in the world but the organization staged a solid event this past Fri., Nov. 2, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada, with RFA 4: "Griffin vs. Escudero" at the Texas Station Gambling Hall and Hotel.
And it came dirt cheap, too, at least as far as fighter salaries.
Tyson Griffin, the event headliner who defeated Efrain Escudero via unanimous decision, took home just $16,000, which includes an $8,000 win bonus. That's the highest salary of anyone on the entire card.
