Anderson Silva vs. Muk Yan Jong: 'Spider' channels Bruce Lee, slaps wooden dummy (Video)

Anderson Silva does his best Bruce Lee impersonation by unloading his patented "Spider" strikes on a wooden Wing Chun dummy. No Brazilian rookies were harmed during filming.

Yeah, yeah, I know. UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva is emulating one of his idols, the immortal Bruce Lee. Still, I always like to supplement these videos with Jackie Chan from Rumble in the Bronx. After all, anyone can slap the shit out of a wooden dummy, but can they do it in a beige sport coat and make a crippled kid clap?

No, they can't.

"The Spider" does get some love from Strikeforce veteran and jiu-jitsu wizard Andre Galvao, who posted this video of his Brazilian buddy working the Muk Yan Jong. Perhaps this has been the secret weapon behind his mixed martial arts (MMA) success?

That and tennis balls.

It must be nice to have millions of dollars and no fight lined up. Next thing you know, he'll be off shooting movies. Oh, wait. Alright weekend warriors, let's get some input on this video. Who among you have worked the wood in training and how has it helped your overall game?

Anyone?
