Tonight's (Sat., Nov. 3, 2012) WSOF 1: "Arlovski vs. Cole" event in Las Vegas, Nevada, featured yet another light heavyweight tussle involving former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fat boy Anthony Johnson taking on D.J. Linderman.
It was expected that "Rumble" would knock this man out, by whatever means he chose.
At first, it looked like that would happen by way of vicious low blow, with Johnson landing a hard kick to the gonads that had Linderman on one knee for a solid two minutes. He would continue fighting on, however.
That was bad news.
Johnson started grinding him out but when they broke away, he complained at referee Herb Dean that he had been poked in the eye. Dean didn't step in to halt the action, though, so Linderman pushed forward to continue fighting.
When he did so, he missed a left hand and Johnson came right down the pipe with a one hitter quitter. Faceplant knockout, good night, thanks for coming, be sure to tip your waitress.
