"I've worked hard and I've beat some tough dudes to get my title shot. Right now, Johny Hendricks is in my way and I'm going to knock his ass out to get it.
"I love getting the finish, I love not having to go to the judges. I prefer to fight five round fights because that gives us more time to get the finish. This fight is three rounds so I'll have to finish it in three rounds. I'm going to get the finish.
"I still feel I haven't shown the best of my striking at all. Unless the referee is going to hook me up with an early stoppage, I'm going to be in there and fighting. I've got a lot left to show.
"Hendricks is not nearly as slick but he does possess a lot of power. Punches come from different angles, a very heavy left hand that he's knocked out some dudes, he's hurt a lot of dudes with. His biggest strength is his wrestling. I used to train with him here in Vegas. I still feel I'm a lot slicker than him (in) the stand-up. I feel my wrestling has come a long way. I can beat his ass there and then defend the takedown.
"I want to fight for the title, of course, I want to get the title, that's my goal. I'm going to keep fighting, I'm going to keep knocking dudes out and beating them up. Let's get to work. I'm ready and I hope he is too."
