WSOF 1 results and LIVE fight coverage for 'Arlovski vs. Cole' on NBC Sports Network tonight

World Series of Fighting (WSOF) kicks things off with its inaugural event on the NBC Sports Network tonight (Nov. 3, 2012) from the Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a main card featuring names who will be familiar to most mixed martial arts (MMA) fans.

It's fight night!

Even though Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is taking the weekend off, many of its ex-fighters are active and looking to put on a show for mixed martial arts (MMA) fans around the globe.

World Series of Fighting (WSOF) will take over Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, TONIGHT (Sat., Nov. 3, 2012), when former UFC Heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski squares off against Strikeforce veteran Devin Cole in the main event of the promotion's first-ever fight card.

MMAmania will have LIVE coverage, starting with the NBC Sports Network broadcast at 10:30 p.m. ET. Live results will start rolling in around 7:45 p.m. ET, when the preliminary card (which will be streamed via Sherdog) gets underway.

The action will be called by MMA legend Bas Rutten along with former voice of World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC), Todd Harris.

The undercard will feature six fights, showcasing several UFC veterans, among the various recognizable names on this event.

In addition to Andrei Arlovski vs. Devin Cole, the main card will also another former UFC fighter, Anthony Johnson, taking on D.J. Linderman in a Light Heavyweight battle.

Fans will also be treated to the MMA debut of kickboxing star Tyrone Spong, the return to the cage of former WEC Bantamweight champion and UFC veteran Miguel Torres, and up-and-comer (and member of MMA royalty) Gregor Gracie showing off his skills, as well.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Devin Cole (265 pound limit):

Round one: Cole with a couple of quick jabs. Arlovski with a couple jabs of his own in response. Arlovski with the push kick. Cole with a looping left hook, blocked. Good jab by Cole. Good combo by Arlovski. Cole rushes forward and grabs a single leg for a takedown. Arlovski making good use of balance to stay on his feet. Cole has him on the fence, using knees and dirty boxing now. Dirty boxing by each fighter being used. Arlovski reverses, pushes off, and we're back to center. Big left hook by Arlovski and Cole is dropped! Arlovski is all over him with hammerfists and it's all over!

Final results: Andrei Arlovski via KO at 2:37 of round one

Anthony Johnson vs. D.J. Linderman (205 pound limit):

Round one: Johnson with a head kick that is blocked. Johnson with the straight right. Low kick by Johnson, right on the "other button." Linderman is going to need time to work this out. That was a brutal kick to the groin. Linderman takes his five minutes and we're back to the action. Johnson throwing some punches with bad intentions. Nothing has landed squarely just yet, but he's been right within distance. Linderman rushes in and eats a big left hook, and a few other punches on the way out. Hard body kick and then a right hook by Johnson. Johnson with a huge leg kick that floors Linderman, but he pops back up. Linderman with a decent jab, then another. Good leg kick again by Rumble. Head kick by Johnson just barely misses. Johnson catches a kick and uses it for the takedown. Johnson inside Linderman's guard with two and a half minutes left. Johnson grabs the hips as Linderman tries to wall walk. Linderman is turtled up now and Johnson is unloading with punches. Johnson tosses him right back on is butt. Linderman controls the neck but he has no angle for a choke from here. Johnson is standing but leaning on his groudned opponent. Knees to the body and thigh by Johnson. As Linderman stands, he eats a knee to the head and a big right hand. Johnson complains of a poke to the eye, but Herb Dean says he didn't see it and tells him to continue. Linderman looks to capitalize, rushes in, and gets clipped with a right hand on the button! He's out! It's all over! Knockout win for Rumble!

Miguel Torres vs. Marlon Moraes (135 pound limit):

Round one: Moraes with a sweeping leg kick that misses. Head kick by Moraes, partially blocked. Body kick by Torres is caught. Moraes rushes in with a flurry of punches and Torres hits the deck. Moraes jumps into his guard but then thinks better of it.Torres is back up but looks wobbly on his feet. Hard leg kick by Moraes. Good jab by Torres. Sinning back kick to the body by Moraes. Big overhand right by Moraes. Moraes with a big combo. Torres rushes in, clinches up, and works for the takedown on the fence. Moraes is able to get free quickly and back to center. Halfway through round one, and it's been all Moraes. Spinning back kick again by Moraes, but Torres is able to get out of the way this time. Moraes with a big right hand. Torres shoots and misses, and Moraes gets out of the way with ease. Torres back up. Torres lands a straight left hand. Moraes with a big uppercut that barely misses. Torres with the jab. Leg kick by Moraes. Another good jab by Torres, who looks like he's getting loose. Hard leg kick by Moraes. Torres continues to work the jab. Head kick by Moraes is blocked. Moraes catched a lazy kick by Torres at the horn. 10-9 Moraes.

Round two: Hard leg kick by Moraes. Torres comes forward with a decent combo. Another really hard leg kick by Moraes. Good jab by Torres. So far, the story has been Moraes' quickness and power advantage, as Torres has been unable to use his reach or takedowns. Hard leg kick by Moraes, as he continues to chop down that lead leg like a tree. Good combo by Moraes as Torres rushes in. Good front kick by Torres. Inside leg kick by Torres. Torres feints a shot and eats a big punch. Good jab by Torres. Good right hand by Torres. Torres starting to even things out in the stand up, a bit. Two minutes left. The second round has been much more even, but Moraes seems to still hold the advantage, as his strikes appear to be doing much more damage. Good left hook by Moraes, right on cue. Fighters meet in the middle and exchange. Moraes floors Torres again with another big shot. That has to be playing largely in the minds of the judges, whether Torres has been genuinely hurt or not. Good jab by Torres. Hard leg kick by Moraes. 10-9 Moraes.

Round three: Hard leg kick by Moraes as Torres goes to throw a big right hand. Good jab by Torres. Moraes starting to show some blood of on the bridge of his nose. Leg kick by Torres. Fighters exchange combos. Big head kick by Moraes. Torres peppers with the jab. Moraes with the leg kick, once again. Torres throws a head kick and it's blocked by Moraes. Good jab again by Torres. Torres is really starting to make better use of his range, but he's taking a lot of punishment to that lead leg. Moraes, right on cue, attacks the lead leg with a thunderous kick. Crazy jump spinning kick by Moraes lands to the body. Torres gets off with the combo. Torres with another good combo. Just over a minute to go and it's really any man's fight at this point. Good jab again by Torres. Moraes shoots and gets the takedown. Torres, active off his back, looking for a way to finish this fight. Torres attacks with elbows and hammerfists off his back. Moraes looks to pass, but he's getting lit up. Torres goes for an arm, and time expires. 10-9 Torres.

Final results: Marlon Moraes via split decision

Tyrone Spong vs. Travis Bartlett (205 pound limit):

Round one: Bartlett paws the jab. Spong sits back. Hard right hand to the body by Spong. Front kick by Spong, send Battlett backwards. Head kick by Spong. Spong with another big head kick and Bartlett hits the canvas! Spong with a right hook. Bartlett looks totally overmatched here! Another head kick by Spong. Bartlett throwing occasional strikes but has landed nothing. Spong with a hard front kick again. Spong has him on the fence and is unloading. Bartlett circles off, back to center. Bartlett is already cut, blood flowing from behind his left ear. Spong has him on the fence again and is stalking. Bartlett with a body shot. Spong is dodging everything with ease, thus far. Big right hook to the body by Spong. Two minutes left. Spong with the left hook to the body. Spong with a straight right hand to the head! Bartlett flies to the mat and Spong simply walks away! Huge debut win for Tyrone Spong!
