It's been a rough couple of years for former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight Junie Browning, who made his less than triumphant return to mixed martial arts (MMA) last Saturday night (Nov. 24, 2012) against Brian Stevens at Hardrock MMA 51.
And things are going from bad to worse, at least for his career as a cage fighter.
The "Lunatik" (4-6), who found himself a fugitive in Thailand about a year ago, was choked out by Stevens after a 15 month absence from the sport. Following the defeat, his fifth straight, Browning pulled a Forrest Griffin and simply abandoned ship.
Better luck next time.
Browning gained notoriety for acting like a drunken hick on season eight of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF). He was 1-1 following the conclusion of the Spike TV reality show, but was eventually dismissed from the promotion for his legal troubles outside the Octagon.
Stevens improved to 1-1 with the win.
