Rumor has it that former UFC great Chuck Liddell will serve in a small role in the upcoming 2013 movie, "Kick-Ass 2." The role is currently unconfirmed by official sources, but it would not be the first time "The Iceman" has appeared on the "silver screen."
A report has surfaced that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell may have landed a small part in the upcoming movie, "Kick-Ass 2," which is scheduled for release on June 28, 2013.
The much anticipated sequel comes as a second offering to fans of the 2010 cult classic, and will feature such Hollywood stars as Nicolas Cage, John Leguizamo and Jim Carrey.
The rumors started to swirl when a picture started making the rounds on the "information superhighway," after Cagesi.de posted an article, linking "The Iceman" to the movie.
Liddell is not the first UFC star to make it to the "silver screen," with fighters the likes of Randy Couture, Cung Le and even Jason Miller all scoring significant roles in fairly large films.
Should Liddell's work end up making the final cut, it will also not be his first time on the big screen, after landing small roles in the movies, "How High," and "Cradle 2 the Grave."
Liddell has also performed small roles on such TV programs as "Hawaii Five-O," and "Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior."
The former UFC light heavyweight champion retired from action in 2010, after losing five of his last six fights, and being knocked out three times in a row.
Since his retirement, Liddell accepted the job of (and has been serving as) executive vice president of business development since December of 2010.
