Not only did Greg Jackson not choose sides in the championship fight between Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre and former interim titleholder Carlos Condit this past weekend (Nov. 17, 2012) at UFC 154 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he didn't even bother watching it at home.

And he doesn't ever intend too, either.

Appearing on today's' (Nov. 19, 2012) edition of "The MMA Hour," Jackson, who is at the helm of one of the most powerful combat sports gyms in the world in Jackson-Winkeljohn Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, explained why he didn't even bother to order the UFC 154 pay-per-view (PPV) and why he won't even watch a replay down the road.

"It was just a little too personal for me. I love both of those guys and it is just business and they did what they had to do, but for me, it was kind of a personal thing and it's not something I enjoy. So, I hung out with the family and didn't participate. A few people were asking me and I said no, it wasn't like I was dying for play-by-play or anything like that. I got updates after it was done and everybody let me know it was good and everybody was okay and that was my main concern. Everybody was fine and it's time to move on, I guess."

When asked if he would watch the bout for future training purposes, Jackson had this to say:

"Nah, I don't think so. There might be (advantages in seeing the fight) but, I know Carlos so well, I know his style so well that I probably won't need to see the fight just because it's already in the noggin."

"Rush" defeated "The Natural Born Killer" via unanimous decision in what was a very entertaining back-and-forth five round affair (watch it here). St. Pierre didn't show any of the much-feared "ring rust," instead showing aggressiveness and taking down Condit at will while surviving a third round scare after a high left kick to the dome sent him crashing to the canvas.

Carlos was unable to capitalize and finish St. Pierre, as "Rush" shook off the cobwebs and survived the round on his way to his seventh straight title defense.

Jackson went on to say that he doesn't feel he would have made a difference in the outcome of the bout for either Georges or Carlos had he been present, labeling Condit an "amazing fighter" with Jackson himself only being a "little bit" of what he does.

Now that UFC 154 is in the rear-view mirror, Condit and Jackson can reunite to help the former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) 170-pound kingpin climb back up the ranks of the UFC's welterweight mountain and possibly earn himself another crack at obtaining a world title, somewhere down the road.

How about it Maniacs, can you appreciate Jackson's decision to stay neutral throughout this whole ordeal, going as far as choosing to not even watch the title fight between two of his best pupils?
