Mania Matchmaker: Possible next fights for UFC 154: 'St. Pierre vs. Condit' winners

It's time for another rousing round of peering into the MMA crystal ball, where we'll attempt to determine workable match ups for the winners from UFC 154's main card.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) just completed another card of high energy mixed martial arts (MMA) action, as UFC 154 overtook the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec on Nov. 17, 2012.

The aftermath leaves a unified Welterweight title, a number one contender for the same division, and several other victorious fighters whose future just became a little bit brighter.

With that said, UFC matchmaker Joe Silva has no small task ahead of him in determining the pairings for the winners from this most recent event.

We'd never try and do his job for him, it's hard enough as it is, but for now, we can pretend and toy with some ideal match ups we'd like to see.

In the main event, UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre overcame adversity, and he proved that he's still the "King of the Hill" at 170 pounds with his win over Carlos Condit.

Many (including UFC President Dana White) would like to see "GSP" take on UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva in his next bout, but it's unclear if that will actually happen or not.

The co-main event saw Johny Hendricks' rise to fame continue, as he marched to the center of the cage, put violent hands on his opponent, Martin Kampmann, and promptly ended his night with an early KO that will be seen on highlight reels for years to come.

A "super fight" makes for great ratings, but most of the staff here at MMAmania.com are not huge supporters of this scenario, for a plethora of reasons.

We hope that Hendricks will get the title shot he deserves, but only time will tell which direction "Uncle Dana" is able to steer this ship.

In other main card action, Frenchmen Francis Carmont picked up a somewhat ugly and grimy split decision win against Tom Lawlor.

It didn't win "Fight of the Night," and it wasn't just because of its competition.

With that said, Carmont is generally a very exciting fighter who pushes the pace. He's now won nine in a row, and he's a perfect 4-0 in the UFC Octagon.

I'd like to see him fight Brad Tavares, who is coming off a good win over UFC newcomer Tom Watson at UFC on FUEL TV 5. It'd be a good test and a tough fight for both men.

Rafael dos Anjos earned an impressive unanimous decision win over fellow Lightweight Mark Bocek. Dos Anjos looked really good, and he essentially "rag dolled" Bocek for three rounds, which is not a feat you're going to see happen very often.

A good fight for dos Anjos would be against Takanori Gomi, who also finds himself coming off a successful campaign.

Both fighters are trying to prove their merit in what is quickly becoming the deepest division in the UFC. The promotion is heading back to Japan in March for UFC on FUEL TV 8. Gomi vs. dos Anjos would make a nice addition to the card.

Pablo Garza got himself back on the win-wagon with a nice unanimous decision victory over former Featherweight number one contender Mark Hominick.

"The Scarecrow" continues to impress and show his evolution as a mixed martial artist. He looked good on the feet and on the ground.

Antonio Carvalho is another featherweight who notched a big win at UFC 154. He's got a similar skill set to that of Garza. I think it makes for an interesting match up.

That's the best I can do. Now it's your turn. In the comment section below, let us know what your ideal match ups would be for the UFC 154 winners.
