Georges St. Pierre makes his highly anticipated return to action a successful one by surviving a third round scare en route to a hard fought unanimous decision victory over Carlos Condit in the main event of UFC 154: "St. Pierre vs. Condit" last night (Sat., Nov. 17, 2012) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The welterweight king proved that even a potentially catastrophic injury, 19 months away from the cage, fear, doubt, and one of the most dangerous 170-pound fighters in the world couldn't stop him from reclaiming his throne. It didn't come without a great deal of adversity. A beautifully executed head kick in round three put "Rush" on his back, fighting just to survive. But he did just that and turned the tide in his favor, cruising the rest of the way and setting up a super-fight against Anderson Silva, who was breathlessly watching and cheering the French-Canadian on.
