Carlos Condit is nice and loose just one day prior to the fight of his life against Georges St. Pierre in the main event of UFC 154 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In fact, he's predicting he'll finish the welterweight king.
"Actually, you know, I'm not as nervous as I thought I would be. I'm just excited to get in there. I just want to go in there, exhibit my skills, do what I do. I love to fight, man, this is my passion in life. I cannot wait to get in there and do it against the best in the world. ... I'm going to finish him. I'm going to finish Georges."
That's Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Interim Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit telling FUEL TV he's going to finish current legitimate Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre in the main event of UFC 154 tomorrow night (Sat., Nov. 17, 2012) at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Sure, he's said it before, more than a few times, in fact, but this is different. This prediction comes after he made weight, after he squared off with St. Pierre in front of "Rush's" fellow countrymen behind enemy lines, after he looked the French-Canadian in the eyes and realized once and for all that he's not nervous. Not one bit. He's loose as a goose, actually, and excited that his time has finally come. Because although it was a monumental achievement to defeat Nick Diaz and earn the Interim title he currently carries around, he knows, just the same as we know, that it's a bullshit belt and no one is buying it. But we'll buy it if he can beat one of the best who ever lived and he'll get that chance in roughly 24 hours. Anyone got the guts to predict a finish in favor of Condit?
