Mitrione will be filling in for Shane Carwin in the TUF 16 Finale if and when he signs the dotted line. Mitrione was last seen on the losing end of a unanimous decision to Cheick Kongo at UFC 139 and Roy Nelson was last seen knocking out Dave Herman at UFC 146.

In my opinion Mitrione is getting a second chance to crack the top ten by facing off against the other gatekeeper of the division, Roy Nelson. It's time for Mitrione to put up or shut up with all that trash talk about Jon Jones and Rampage because when he is given the opportunity to face legit competition he turns it down. Not too long ago it was revealed that he passed up a chance to fill in for Frank Mir against Daniel Cormier. When he looks back on it in retrospect, it will have been the dumbest decision he ever made in his MMA career.
