Embattled UFC light heavyweight Rampage Jackson wants to leave the world's largest mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion with a bang, promising to knockout Glover Teixeira at UFC on FOX 6, who is "in trouble" when they hook 'em up in "The Windy City."
"I was training my ass off cause this is my last fight in the UFC. You don’t think I wanna go out with a bang? You don’t think I wanna go out with a bang? I wanna go out with a knockout. I haven’t knocked somebody out in so long. Glover is in so much trouble, he just don’t know. I just can’t wait. Then when I make my jump, ya’ll gonna know what’s up. Ya’ll gonna say, ‘Now I see why he did that.’ It’s time for me to go ahead and leave the type of legacy that I want to leave on MMA. But I can’t get that in the UFC with the type of opponents they want to give me."
Fast-rising Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Glover Teixeira is gearing up for his biggest test to date when he takes on former division titleholder Quinton Jackson at the UFC on FOX 6 event, scheduled for Jan. 26, 2012 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. "Rampage," who tells Pro MMA Now he's "going out with a bang," is poised to (finally) make his final appearance for ZUFFA after a tumultuous relationship, which has been well publicized over the last few months. But how will his "legacy" be defined? We'll know in just over two months.
