Sorry to disappoint all you Dion Staring fans, but the upcoming Strikeforce poster for 'Melendez vs. Healy' features lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez taking on division number one contender Pat Healy, one of three planned title fights for the promotion's swan song on Jan. 12, 2013 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, OK.
"The Soldier" will still make the Showtime-televised main card when he battles Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion (and Jon Jones fan) Daniel Cormier.
Also putting their titles up for grabs are Nate Marquardt and Luke Rockhold. "The Great" will try to make his first (and only) title defense against Tarec Saffiedine while the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) fixture hopes to repel the attack of Lorenz Larkin.
No sign of Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronday Rousey, who may (or may not) be UFC-bound at the time of this writing.
