When Strikeforce invades Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on Sat., Nov. 3, 2012, it will do so with a middleweight championship showdown in the co-main event of the evening, and maybe the main event if Daniel Cormier doesn't get an opponent here soon.
But while Luke Rockhold, the current 185-pound king, was expecting a rematch against Ronaldo Souza, he will instead take on Lorenz Larkin, a former light heavyweight contender with just one win in his new weight class.
"I thought it would be Jacare. I let my feelings be felt, I thought it should be Jacare. I thought he was the best guy out there in my division. Lorenz Larkin's a tough guy, he had a good performance against Robbie Lawler. I don't pick the fights, I just fight who's in front of me. That's what I'm going to do. I'm going to formulate a game plan and I'm going to go out there and make it happen."
Indeed.
