"Bigfoot" handed "Hapa" his first-ever loss with authority, blasting the hobbled Hawaiian in the UFC on FX 5 main event with a highlight-reel finish.
Travis Browne was knocking on the door of Heavyweight contender consideration, but Antonio Silva dashed those hopes in less than four minutes in the UFC on FX 5 main event from the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn., on Oct. 5, 2012. "Hapa" was hobbled early with what his trainer described as a "blown out" knee, opening the door for the Brazilian to register his first Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) win. "Bigfoot" broke it down with a clubbing overhand right, which sent the hulking Hawaiian to the canvas looking for a way to somehow survive a very bad situation. Unfortunately for him, there was no escape as Silva rained down a series of powerful shots that forced the referee in charge of the action to stop it. Browne will now have to lick his wounds, heal and mount a comeback, while Silva is off to the races and possibly into an interesting (albeit fantasy match-making) fight with someone like Stefan Struve in the near future.
