According to Ryan Bader, top UFC Middleweight contender Chris Weidman lost his home to Hurricane Sandy raging through the East Coast.
As Hurricane Sandy continues blasting the East Coast, bad news just keeps pouring in.
According to a tweet from Ryan Bader, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight contender Chris Weidman lost his home to the storm today.
"Thoughts go out to @ChrisWeidmanUFC & his family. Lost his home in the storm on the east coast. Please show him your support," he tweeted.
Weidman lives in New York, or at least that's where his home was located before the big storm hit, and is currently preparing for a fight against Tim Boetsch at UFC 155: "Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2" on Sat., Dec. 29, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Although that really seems meaningless right now.
Indeed, we here at MMAmania.com would like to wish Weidman and everyone else on the east coast dealing with Hurricane Sandy all the best and we hope you stay safe. That includes longtime staff writer and Managing Editor Jesse Holland, who has also been affected by it.
Again, best wishes to all those getting hit right now. Please stay safe, friends.
