Easton is riding an eight fight win streak dating back to April 2008, including amassing a 3-0 record inside the Octagon since his arrival on the scene in Oct. 2011. He was impressive in his last victory, too, putting away top contender Ivan Menjivar to give him a solid resume within the promotion.
Dillashaw, after losing in the Finals of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 against John Dodson, has been awesome in two fights since, systematically taking aparat Walel Watson before choking out Vaughan Lee earlier this year.
You won't hear a lot bout these two heading into the big network television event but you can rest assured there's a potential 135-pound contender here.
UFC on Fox 5 will be headlined by Ben Henderson defending his lightweight title for the first time against someone not named Frankie Edgar. Instead, he'll battle Nate Diaz. The rest of the loaded main card features Mauricio Rua vs. Alexander Gustafsson, Rory MacDonald vs. B.J. Penn, and Mike Swick vs. Matt Brown.
