Charlie Brenneman is officially unemployed.
"The Spaniard" today (Oct. 2, 2012) confirmed his release from Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) following consecutive losses to Kyle Noke (UFC 152) and Erick Silva (UFC on FX 3). Despite a feel-good win over Rick Story in mid-2011, Brenneman was unable to capitalize and quickly fell into a 1-3 hole.
From his official Twitter:
Based out of AMA Fight Club in New Jersey, Brenneman should have little trouble securing fights on the regional circuit and could very well return to the Ring of Combat (ROC) promotion in Atlantic City. With any luck, one of Jon Jones' most outspoken critics can string together a few wins and work his way back up to the big show.
Anyone think his release was premature?
