Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE
Great news for fight fans who missed out on a chance to see UFC 154 live and in person, as the Georges St. Pierre vs. Carlos Condit welterweight title fight will now be shown on select screens at participating movie theaters nationwide.
Unless you have the best seats in the house (not likely), you're probably going to spend most of your time at a live Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event staring at the big screen.
Now fight fans can replicate that experience for UFC 154: "St. Pierre vs. Condit," without having to endure an arena full of Affliction tee shirts and "USA! USA!" chants. That's because Fathom Events (via PE.com) is bringing you the live pay-per-view (PPV) event right to your local movie theater.
You can see a list of participating theaters by clicking here.
This isn't the first time mixed martial arts (MMA) has hit the big screen. Georges St. Pierre was also featured in theaters for his welterweight title defense against Dan Hardy back in Spring of 2010. Just a few months later, Chuck Liddell followed suit in his final Octagon appearance against Rich Franklin.
In addition to "St. Pierre vs. Condit," the UFC 154 fight card will also feature a 170-pound title eliminator bout pitting Johny Hendricks opposite Martin Kampmann.
