UFC on FX 1: Jared Papazian vs Mike Easton possible for Jan. 20 with Ken Stone hurt

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has a re-worked bantamweight bout for its upcoming network televised fight card from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Fri., Jan. 20, 2012.

UFC on FX 1 will see 135-pound veterans Jared Papazian and Mike Easton mix it up for a spot in the division's increasingly competitive title chase when the promotion heads to "Music City" later this month.

Papazian replaces Ken Stone, who was forced to withdraw from the contest due to injury, according to a report from MMA Weekly.

"The Jackhammer" (14-6) will be making his Octagon debut but is hardly a stranger to cage fighting. In fact, Papazian is coming off a three-fight winning streak under the King of the Cage (KOTC) banner and is 8-2 over his last 10.

Opposing him is Easton, the 11-1 "Hulk" who smashed his way through D.C.'s regional circuit before making a successful UFC debut against Byron Bloodworth, knocking him out at UFC on Versus 6 last October.

Here's what the UFC on FX fight card looks like with just over two weeks to go:

Star-divide

Main Event:

155 lbs.: Melvin Guillard vs. Jim Miller

Main Card (FX Channel):

155 lbs.: Duane Ludwig vs. Josh Neer
135 lbs.: Mike Easton vs. Jared Papazian
265 lbs.: Pat Barry vs. Christian Morecraft

Preliminary Card (May not be broadcast):

185 lbs.: Jorge Rivera vs. Eric Schafer
170 lbs.: Charlie Brenneman vs. Daniel Roberts
155 lbs.: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Kamal Shalorus
205 lbs.: Ryan Jimmo vs. Karlos Vemola
155 lbs.: Reza Madadi vs. Fabricio Camoes
135 lbs.: Nick Denis vs. Joseph Sandoval

UFC on FX 1 will feature two top lightweight contenders, Jim Miller and Melvin Guillard, headlining the event and looking to continue their march back to the top of the 155-pound totem pole.

Also penciled in for the "Guillard vs. Miller" fight card is a heavyweight battle between Pat Barry and Christian Morecraft, as well as a welterweight slugfest that pits Josh Neer vs. Duane Ludwig.
