Scott Coker: Don't underestimate Strikeforce middleweight Adlan Amagov
The name Adlan Amagov doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, but for those mixed martial arts (MMA) fans who never heard of the Russian destroyer, take a look at this video to see what Robbie Lawler is up against when they collide this Saturday night (Jan. 7, 2012) on the Strikeforce: "Rockhold vs. Jardine" fight card in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Scary stuff.
That's what Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker was talking about when he told MMA Fighting not to underestimate Amagov simply because he's not a recognizable name.
"The Robbie Lawler fight, against Adlan, that's gonna be a barnburner and I think people underestimate Adlan because they really don't know him. He's been fighting on Challengers, but that's kinda how Luke (Rockhold) got brought up, he came from the Challengers series."
Hear more from Coker on this weekend's Showtime event, after the jump.

Nobody has even heard of this guy to estimate him, so how could anyone possibly underestimate him?
When a Texan decides to take his chances, you know chances will be taken.
Hey p-dub, good to see you around. Did you enjoy the last ppv?

They could under estimate him by assuming he's no good due to not knowing of him.
Horrible thing to do but it happens.

Actually...
He fought on the last Challengers card and he looked pretty damn impressive. I wouldn’t be surprised if he knocked Lawler out. I can definitely see him fighting with top contenders in the UFC in the near future.
Adlan is a beast from what I have been able to dig up
Hes got good technique for sure. If he can keep his momentum going, I see him in the UFC
Sig bets with umabig:
Condit beats Diaz on Feb. 4, 2 weeks
Akiyama beats Shields on Feb. 26, 2 week
I see him getting knocked out and fighting in small gymnasiums

I've got Amagov winning this
His Sambo and good striking and hunger make me think he’s got this. Robbie has lost a lot of his momentum and drive. Amagov by submission.
Everything and anything is possible, or nothing
