UFC on FUEL TV 2: Papy Abedi vs James Head on tap for April 14 in Sweden
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is starting to fill some of the slots on its upcoming UFC on FUEL TV 2 fight card, the second entry into the cable television network's live mixed martial arts programming on April 14 at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
As expected, Papy Abedi (8-1) will see action when he takes on fellow UFC sophomore James Head (7-2), according to a report from MMA Fighting.
Abedi made his Octagon debut at UFC 138: "Leben vs. Munoz," where hard-hitting welterweight slugger Thiago Alves handed "Makambo" the first loss of his professional career by way of first round rear naked choke.
Head is also coming off a submission loss, having been strangled by former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) contestant Nick Ring at UFC 131: "Dos Santos vs. Carwin" back in June 2011.
Here's how the UFC on FUEL TV fight card is shaping up:
170 lbs.: DaMarques Johnson vs. John Maguire
185 lbs.: Francis Carmont vs. Magnus Cedenblad
170 lbs.: Papy Abedi vs. James Head
185 lbs.: Alessio Sakara vs. Brian Stann
205 lbs.: Cyrille Diabate vs. Jorgen Kruth
170 lbs.: Besam Yousef vs. Simeon Thoresen

Looks like a weak card
even for a TV card. Why does europe never get any decent cards? They put on great cards in pretty much every other continent. The UFC has no love for europeans it seems.
They're putting on a card full of Europeans...
Just like they put on cards full of Canadians in Canada, cards (well, a card) full of Asians in Asia, and cards full of Brazilians in Brazil.
Australia got a killer card. So did Abu Dhabi. And it wasn’t just natives. Those fights were main card quality on any event.
Also most of the best europeans are absent ( so far ). Where are Siver, JOE, Bisping, or Kampmann ( who is scandinavian after all )?
I assume Gustafson will be the main event, but even so, every other fight on this card would be a facebook prelim on an avarage card.
I’m really disapointed.
relax..
Its these cards that always seen to get underestimated & then some explosive shit happens. Besides, this card is 4 months away, plenty of time for someone to get injured! how many times has an announced card gone off as initially billed? Haven’t seen that happen in a long time.

^this
What the hell am I thinking when I picked the cowboy from New Mexico to beat the other guy from 209. I should have joined the Dark Side and learned more about MMA than spend most of my time watching episodes of New Girl, Nikita and Jersey Shore. Next time, I will be more careful when betting with Phasebook
Check out what I've been drinking lately
That happens occasionaly
but more often than not a boring looking card ends up being boring. If that wasn’t true then they wouldn’t look boring.
i got abedi
