Johny Hendricks delivers an unnecessary shot to a downed and already knocked out Jon Fitch during their bout at UFC 141: "Lesnar vs. Overeem" on Fri., Dec. 30, 2011, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
"Hendricks did something that GSP couldn't do. There's no way this was an early stoppage. Hendricks comes bursting out of nowhere and takes down the number-two guy. He's got world class wrestling and nasty hands -- he's going to get another big fight."
-- During his appearance on Fuel TV last night, UFC President Dana White talked up Johny Hendricks, lauding the performance the welterweight banger turned in against Jon Fitch at UFC 141: "Lesnar vs. Overeem" on this past Fri., Dec. 30, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nevada. "Big Rig," as he's being called now, blasted Fitch with a left hook that put Fitch on Queer Street and ended the fight in just 12 seconds time. That didn't just catapult Hendricks into the upper echelon of the division; it was also damn near a personal favor to White, who was finding it increasingly difficult to find match-ups for Fitch, a perennial 170-pound contender who simply couldn't beat the division champion. Now, it's no longer an issue and that's thanks to Hendricks and his monster left hand. His reward? "Another big fight." But against who? You Maniacs got someone in mind for him? Let's hear it.
