Who was the WWE 'mystery man' last night on RAW? Hint: It wasn't Brock Lesnar

Too soon?

Speculation, much like Hulkamania, was runnin' wild last night in Memphis, Tenn., during the Jan. 2, 2012, edition of World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) Monday Night RAW.

The pro wrestling outfit had been teasing the return of a "mystery man" to its flagship program and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, who retired from mixed martial arts (MMA) at UFC 141 after Alistair Overeem retired his liver, was one of the leading candidates.

Too bad Lesnar, a WWE veteran, is still under contract with the UFC.

That doesn't mean a return is out of the question, but considering he just competed last weekend (Dec. 30, 2011), it's probably going to be awhile before the "Brockness Monster" finds his way back to the land of make believe.

So if it wasn't Lesnar, than who was it? WWE's big "mystery man" (via Cageside Seats) after the jump.
