As Superstar Billy Graham has said himself about guys ripping him off like Hulk Hogan and Jesse Ventura it’s the highest compliment for someone to rip you off.

Here’s a little story about a bitter little reporter who did too much gum flapping about things he doesn’t know about. Geno Mrosko, if you were a real reporter, you would do some research. Pro Wrestlers and the fighting industry in general are notorious for borrowing recycling and reusing gimmicks, material, promo’s whatever…. The fact that Chael Sonnen did this in my eyes??? Is brilliant. “Pop Quiz Hot Shot” see I borrowed that from Top Gun Noober, when was the last time you saw “Superstar” Billy Graham’s name let alone a full 3 minute promo in mainstream news? Yet today you see it everywhere. On a day, I’m not sure if your aware of this because again research doesn’t seem to be your strong point, which is VERY important to the WWE. ROYAL RUMBLE. Chael is one of the greatest talkers in any business and has publicly expressed his love for Pro Wrestling to be his inspiration. He’s Smart, he just secured himself, a VERY big spot in the company he will more then likely go work for once he is done knocking Anderson Silva’s Teeth out YET again in what is sure to be the biggest UFC event in History. Take Note’s THAT’S HOW YOU PROMOTE YOURSELF AND THE COMPANY, you take the bullet, because your the heel.

im not saying I liked the promo, but billy graham was his favourite wrestler I believe so he was clearly paying homage to call it ripping it off shows a general cluelessness.

I think too often some of these writers are striving too hard to show off their pro-wrestling knowledge. I get it, there are similarities. I get it, many MMA fans are former and or current fans of pro-wrestling. But seriously? What does this article prove? Sonnen cut a pretty basic promo, using pretty basic terms, that has been copied and recreated many times over and over. Thats what pro-wrestling is all about, you get the same spots repeated over and over both physically and through spoken word. So who gives a shit if Chael cut a similar promo to Billy Graham and half the entire wrestling world. Give me a break.
