Our buddy Pillow Pants brings news that fans can download Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight number one contender Alistair Overeem FOR FREE to add to their UFC Undisputed 3 video game roster when it drops Feb. 14, 2012, for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
How does it work?
Head over to the UFC Undisputed 3 Facebook page and "like" them. That gets you a redeemable token that you can cash in when the popular mixed martial arts (MMA) video game franchise spits out its third offering.
Yes, on Valentine's Day.
She gets the roses, you get "The Reem."
Get a closer look at "Demolition Man" in all his video game glory after the jump.
The UFC Undisputed 3 playable demo is now available to download for FREE at the Xbox Live Marketplace for the Xbox 360 video game console, as well as the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 (PS3).
The demo will feature a fantasy match-up between current UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and reigning 185-pound champion Anderson Silva. In addition, former rivals Quinton Jackson and Wanderlei Silva will hook 'em up in a rematch from their PRIDE days.
The UFC Undisputed 3 playable demo will also feature "mirror matches," which gives players the ability to challenge their buddies (or opponent AI) as the same fighter. That's a good way to level the playing field amongst friends and see who truly is the better player.

Well, you're half right.
JDS will show the short time MMA fans what we long time fans have already seen with Overeem and his weak chin.

#2: Jones (destroys everybody in front of him making it look easy)
#3: Aldo (tears up people whenever he's not too cautious)
#4: Edgar (should be fighting at 145 but beats everyone at 155)
#5: GSP (long time champ who can't stop guys that others can in the 1st rd or who aren't blown up LWs which isn't so dominating... hence P4P)

With the inclusion of Wandy’s head tattoo, Overeem’s facial scars, and Brocks sword penis, its clear that realism is the goal…so seeing as last game even had minute details like Chris Leben’s & Frank Mir’s incomplete tattoos, will Chael’s Bacne and Fake championship belt be included?

Thank god that i know how to play this game enough to utilize the clinch takedowns and striking.
Because when my friends come over to play it there all just gonna pick the champions or the people with a overall stat of 95. I’m still gonna kick there ass.

the submissions are even wierder this time..
An octagon is imposed up on the screen & 2 alternating colors pop up & you have to literally “chase” your opponent’s color around the perimeter of that octagon to secure a tap.. still haven’t secured one yet. I did go to the Pride section using Wand & soccer kick the fuck out of Rampage, and stomped him out from his guard tho…shit is fun..

in Pride mode
They should make all the fighters who were in their prime then be that much better:
Wandy should be berserker style Wand with chin and furious aggression
Reem should fight at 205 and gas about 7 minutes into the 1st round
Mirko (if he’s in it) should LHK the shit out of people
Shogun should protect Wandy from contenders so Wand can HL reel KO random Japanese cans (dont get your panties in a bunch, there is a bit of truth to that)
Nick Diaz should be “immune to pain” b/c of his magic marijuana powers, in the prefight/postfight scenes, if they exist, Nick should be in the backstage area taking bong hits while Coleman is throwing furniture and punching the doors.

They are... I think
I think in Pride Mode Wand is like 88 and Page is 86 overall. Which I think page would be closer to that 88 mark and Wand would be low 80s in the UFC mode.

Guys that were monsters and in their prime should whoop ass in Pride mode.
I maintain that Overeem should gas out in round one. You should also be able to unlock Zulu for freakshow fights.

i hope this game isnt gonna need a patch … i am a little surpised the roster isnt bigger .. i know 150 sounds like alot but it really isnt when you take into account all the divisons..

played demo, you can actually set it where both guys have equal stats! that is awesome!

The pride mode is a lot of fun, i have also enjoyed knocking out Jones a number of times.
I finally got it yesterday aha
i love it! The submissions are a piece of piss aswell to do I think, hopefully people won’t find a way to spam that system
Subbing Jones after dropping him with a front kick to the face is most satisfying

i still need to get the hang of it, do you just have to keep on top of the cpu’s thing? I love the kicks and knees to the head in Pride mode though, ive done some crazy knockouts.
you have to keep your colour over the CPU's colour as long as possible yeh
and you’ll notice that the camera gets closer the closer you get to pulling off the sub

im liking simulation mode on the demo...
Throwing combos takes a good chunk of stamina but it only takes a couple solid hits to rock someone. The ability to string combos together is also much improved, as weak strikes allow you to set up power ones.
Fighter navigation is still a bit robotic even with the inclusion of a footwork stat. All in all a solid improvement that has me intrigued enough to buy it, even if I can’t stand the sub system.
